Our Guarantee - Care & Maintenance

Built To Last

Mountain Ridge Gear is proud to offer American Made gear built to out-last and out-perform similar products made overseas. We stand behind everything we sell.

Guaranteed for Life

Our products carry a lifetime guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. If you find a defect, we will repair or replace your product at no charge.

Returns

We know that buying gear online without handling it first takes trust. If for any reason the item doesn't meet your needs, we accept returns within 30 days for a full refund minus shipping, provided the item is unused and in its original condition.

We do not sell used pack equipment. Because we have no idea how gear may have been used, reselling it raises both safety and legal concerns in the event of a failure.

Pack saddles, pads, cinches, and tack must be completely clean and free of hair, dirt, and dust before returning. This is critical to prevent the transfer of bacteria, viruses, or disease between equines. If the item was used on an animal, we may not be able to accept the return. Please call 719-749-2289 with any questions.

Felt Cinches: Due to their tendency to accumulate debris and animal hair, felt cinches are final sale and cannot be returned.

Repairs

We build our gear to withstand heavy use, but we know it isn't indestructible. If you experience an issue during normal use, contact us and we'll do our best to repair it — and make it stronger in the process.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life of your gear significantly. For routine cleaning, use mild soap or Borax, rinse well, and hang dry. Never use bleach on nylon and avoid the dryer.

If you're out in the field, a horse brush and a creek will do the job — Cordura nylon dries quickly in the sun and unlike cotton canvas, it doesn't hold odors.

Store your gear in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight — extended UV exposure will fade Cordura nylon over time. If your gear does need to come back to us for repair, please make sure it is thoroughly cleaned before sending it in.

Pack Saddle Maintenance

Before every pack trip, inspect all straps to ensure everything is in serviceable condition — it's much easier to address issues at home than on the trail. Check that all bolts are tight, and periodically reapply linseed oil to the wood to keep it conditioned and protected. If anything needs attention, send it back and we'll get it repaired and ready for your next trip.

As stated above...We do not sell used pack saddles. If a saddle has been in service, we have no way of knowing how it was used or what stresses it may have experienced — and we won't put our name on something we can't stand behind.

Water Resistance

All of our American Made Cordura features a urethane coating that makes it highly water resistant. Under normal use, no additional water repellant treatment is needed.

PayPal Purchase Protection

When you pay with PayPal, your order is also covered by their Purchase Protection guarantee.
